Old Milon
In Old Milon by Guy De Maupassant, the most outstanding characteristic for Old Milon is that he is insane. Before the murder, people thought Milon wasn’t too bad, sure he was a little creepy and intimidating but other than that, he seemed to be an okay man. When he began to talk about his first murder people could tell he was crazy. He said that cutting off the soldiers head was like a feather. Other murders involved, acting like he was hurt yelling help so that Russian soldiers would come help him. When they did, he would stab them. Obviously, they were nice people and were trying to help and he killed them anyways. I’d have to say that’s pretty crazy. At the trial, he would say “Eight for my father, eight for my son, it pays off!” He didn’t feel bad about it at all. He believed what he was doing was right, showing that he must have some problems. In all, Old Milon was a creepy man who deserved to be killed.
